Underground Drainage System
Similar to our soil pipe systems, DAVANT’s underground drainage systems also come in different profiles and fittings. They are designed to be lightweight, durable, and impact-resistant, making them easy to install. Furthermore, these drainage systems comply with British Standard EN1401-1:2009, ensuring reliability and performance.
TYPE
Underground Drainage Pipes and Fittings:
- Material: Made from PVC, these pipes are corrosion-resistant and built to handle large water volumes.
- Design: These pipes are slightly flexible, allowing them to withstand earth movements. Common residential sizes range from 110mm to 160mm in diameter.
- Fittings: We offer bends, junctions, reducers, and connectors to handle directional changes and branch-offs. Rubber rings seal joints to prevent leaks.
- Colour: Typically available in terracotta or black, these colors help distinguish them from above-ground pipes.
- Applications: These systems efficiently carry waste and rainwater from buildings to sewers or septic systems.
Overground Drainage Pipes and Fittings:
- Material: Manufactured from materials like PVC, these pipes are sturdy and resistant to damage.
- Design: Overground pipes are more rigid compared to underground ones. Depending on the application, their diameters can vary from smaller residential to larger commercial sizes.
- Fittings: These include elbows, T-joints, couplings, and brackets for mounting to walls or ceilings. They use screw fittings or push-fit designs for quick and easy installation.
- Colour: Available in white, black, or light grey, these pipes are easily distinguishable from underground systems.
- Applications: Used to carry wastewater from fixtures like sinks, toilets, and showers to underground drainage systems.
These are used in soil and waste systems, where the pipes are joined using a solvent weld process. The weld creates a strong, permanent bond, making the system leak-proof and durable. Ideal for high-pressure applications or where a secure joint is crucial.

Manufactured and certified to EN12201 specification. Blue Medium Density (PE80) Polyethylene Service Pipes for Potable Water and Industrial uses manufactured in accordance to EN12201 Specification. Also manufactured to BSEN12201 with BS Kitemark.
Max operating temperatures – 16 bar for 20mm and 12.5 bar for all other sizes.
